One Stitch at a Time. Sewing Tips #1

I am starting a new course on beginner's sewing and here is a very useful tip - what to do if your fabric is too soft and get caught under the needle? You try to get it out, but it seems like all the threads are tangled underneath... Panic? No! There is a solution!

Put a piece of paper (thin paper will work better, but regular printer paper will be good, too) under the seam you are planning to stitch and stitch as usual.

It will help the machine to go through without stretching thin fabric.

As you can see, it is nice and neat on the other side. You just tear away the paper and you have a perfect seam!
