This is the course to teach you on alterations and repair of your clothes. It is for people who already have some experience in sewing, at least, they can thread the machine and make a pillow case. Also, for all my students who was at the Step 1 course.
If you need a basic sewing workshop to learn how to use your sewing machine, contact me, as I will set the dates for that in March.
This 4 week course will go further:
- how to make your clothes fit,
- how to take in, add space, hem and decorate,
- how to fix minor issues, add darts and pockets.
Week 1, April 7th
Fixing broken zipper
How to change a zipper in a jacket, how to fix zippers without getting a new one.
Week 2, April 14th
Pants alterations.
How to hem jeans or dress pants, take in, add length or width, adjusting the waistband.
Week 3, April 21st
Tops alteration.
How to take in blouses, shirts, t-shirts, how to add darts, adjusting length, adding details.

Week 4, April 28th
Skirts and dresses alterations.
How to adjust skirt: make it shorter, longer, wider or more narrow. Adding pockets.
From 2 pm to 4 pm on Sundays.
Some experience needed, suitable for ages 12+
The price for 4 classes is $164, one class - $48,
must be paid in advance to book your spot. Spots are limited.

You will need to bring your sewing machine with a manual (if possible), an extension cord (2-3 m long), and your sewing box (scissors, threads, needles, measuring tape, fabric marker, or chalk).
You will need to bring your own project to work during the class. I will give more detailed instructions before the start.
